About

The Orchestra

The Pocket Philharmonic is an orchestra in miniature, comprised of only 18-20 professional players. The ensemble consists of a combination of woodwind, brass, and string quintets, with the addition of piano and percussion— the smallest instrumentation possible, while still representing every instrument in a standard orchestra.

By showcasing the full range of timbres within tightly woven musical arrangements, this ensemble creates an immersive experience for its audience and manages to deliver a symphonic experience that is both powerful and captivating. Despite its compact configuration, The Pocket Philharmonic still manages to capture the essence of a full orchestra, while maintaining the intimacy and distinctiveness that sets them apart.
